Sodalean Review: The Refrigeration Instruction Worth Noticing
This is a small detail that most readers scroll past, and it is one of the more honest things on any of these pages.
Refrigerate after opening to preserve probiotic potency — an inconvenient truth most sellers omit.
What the instruction implies
The capsule page states: “Important: Refrigerate after opening to preserve the potency of the probiotics.”
That tells you three things at once.
The product contains live organisms rather than a token inclusion — dead cultures need no refrigeration.
Viability declines at room temperature, which is true of most probiotic strains and is exactly why CFU counts should be stated at end of shelf life rather than at manufacture.
The seller chose to tell you despite it being inconvenient and despite gaining nothing commercially. Most probiotic sellers stay quiet about viability precisely because the answer is awkward.
The question it raises
Here is the part that follows logically and nobody addresses.
If the product needs refrigeration after opening, what happened to it before? Manufacturing, warehousing, shipping and doorstep waiting all occur at ambient temperature, often over weeks and sometimes through summer heat.
Genuine cold-chain probiotic distribution exists and is expensive. Nothing on these pages suggests it is in use, and a six-bottle order sitting in a warehouse then travelling by standard post has already spent considerable time in the conditions the instruction warns about.
This is why the CFU count and whether it is guaranteed at expiry is the question that actually matters — and neither is published.

What to do with your bottles
Follow the instruction. If your bottle or page mentions live cultures, refrigerate after opening. It costs nothing and it is the only variable you control.
Open one bottle at a time. On a six-bottle order, leave the rest sealed and cool rather than opening them for convenience.
Avoid bathrooms and cars. Heat and humidity degrade botanical extracts as well as cultures, so this applies to whichever version you receive.
Ask about the CFU guarantee before ordering a large package. A six-bottle order means opening the last bottle roughly five months after delivery, and if potency is guaranteed only at manufacture, that final bottle is a different product from the first.
Where the same money goes further
If what you actually want is appetite support, the ingredients on these lists are all available directly, with their doses printed.
Psyllium husk or inulin powder costs a few pence per gram-scale serving and states exactly how much you are taking. A tub lasts months. That is the same mechanism these pages describe, delivered at an amount that can actually produce it.
Green tea extract is sold standalone with the catechin standardisation printed and the decaffeination status stated — both things you need to know and neither of which appears here.
Liquid apple cider vinegar costs almost nothing and delivers the 15–30 ml the trials used, which no capsule does.
What you lose is convenience, and that has genuine value. What you gain is knowing what you are taking — which, on a product where no page publishes a single number, is not a small thing.
Independent background reading, none of it selling anything: MedlinePlus on dietary fibre, the European Food Safety Authority and NCCIH on green tea. For the applied version of this on our own pages, see the refund clock or the Sodalean official website reference.
What we would do
Read the ingredient list and the guarantee text on the exact page taking your money, and screenshot both with the date visible — the official pages describe different products on different terms. Take the smallest package. Photograph the Supplement Facts panel when it arrives and compare it against what you were sold. Weigh at the same time each morning and compare weekly averages rather than individual days. And diarise day 50, assuming the shorter version of the guarantee applies.
Frequently asked
Either 180 days or 60 days depending on the page — and the 60-day version requires at least 30 days of use before a claim while calling itself unconditional.
The pages disagree. One lists one bottle at $69, three at $49 each and six at $39 each. The other lists two at $158, three at $207 and six at $294 — $10 to $20 more per bottle.
Not at a researched amount. Chicory inulin is studied at 5–15 grams daily and resistant starch at 15–30 grams. A large capsule holds under one gram in total.
No, and no dietary supplement is. There is no pre-market approval for supplements. Facilities are registered and inspected, which is a different thing from being approved.
Disclaimer. Concentrated green tea extract carries a rare but documented liver-injury signal; green tea, acetic acid and fermentable fibre can each lower blood glucose; green tea contains vitamin K, which affects warfarin; and fibre reduces absorption of levothyroxine and iron taken at the same time.
